Essential Responsibilities:

Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, shipping, and receiving.
Coordinate plant activities through the planning with Site Operations Manager to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Reviews daily usage, inventory, and investigates and corrects all discrepancies.
Learns and understands the flow of all materials, incoming & outgoing, and establishes standard operating procedures.
Provides direction, development, leadership, and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
Assist in control of labor overtime cost and other plant expense.
Facilitates seasonal staffing needs and delegates workload accordingly.
Incorporates plant organization and cleanliness among personnel to ensure safety standards per company policy are being met.
Required Skills:
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and customers of the organization.
Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn.
Physical/Work Demands:
Considerable physical exertion
Able to lift in upwards of 50 pounds at a time.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural industry.
Minimum 2 years of people management experience.
