• Work closely with the Production on 5S, Lean, A4s, and other Improvement initiatives as a technical resource.
• Take part in offer processes of new projects, analyzing the product’s design to guarantee their optimum industrialization, and analyze the costs and investments related with the mentioned industrialization.
• Take part in the new products R&D projects by contributing to the necessary solutions from the processes point of view.
• Take part in the Benchmarking teams by contributing in the analysis of matters related to the processes.
• Participate in the research in developing Die Casting processes, with the objective of improving the existing ones.
• Propose improvements for the actual processes standards. Documentation, tracking, and implementation of machine parameters.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION & LANGUAGUES & EXPERTISE)

Academic background: University degree in Mechanic Engineering
Or equivalent academic and industrial experience.

Additional training: Knowledge of die cast machines, die casting tooling, automation controls including robotics, ladles and sprayers. Machine hydraulics and electrical systems a plus and computers required. Secondary Operations such as machining, vibratory also a plus.

Basic training in health and safety, and environmental management. Training required but not limited to: Fire Drill, Tornado Drill, SDS, ENV Awareness, HazCom, Annual Safety, Haswoper.

Languages: English (Advanced Level)

Minimum Experience required:

Others 3-5 Years in a similar position.

Job Description
The Project Engineer will help to support senior project engineer and on smaller scopes of work be responsible to plan projects and develop detailed take-offs to assist with estimating.
