Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Electrical Engineering
5+ years experience of electrical system design in the building construction industry.
Pass Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam required, PE License Preferred
Knowledge of national electric code
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
Self motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and perform well under time constraint
Sr IT Compliance Analyst — IL
Job Description
The Privacy Compliance Analyst supports the compliance needs and activities of Company. This position will interface with Company’s Legal, IT Security, Compliance, and other functional areas to ensure that Company is in compliance with governmental and state privacy laws and regulations, especially as they pertain to IT controls and processes.
Daily Tasks & Responsibilities
Serve as Company’s subject matter expert for data privacy and compliance matters
Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal and state privacy laws and accreditation standards, and monitor advancements in information privacy technologies to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance
Collaborate on cyber privacy and security policies and procedures
Address privacy compliance and risk mitigation based on the security risk assessment process with cyber-security personnel
Work with Legal and IT Security to ensure Company has appropriate incident response plans in place for data breach incidents that allows for compliance with breach reporting requirements to regulators, governments, individuals and customers
Leverage existing training materials and other communications to increase employee understanding of company privacy policies, data handling practices and procedures and legal obligations
Conduct periodic information privacy impact assessments and ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the organization’s other compliance and operational assessment Cutfunctions
Manage procedures for vetting and auditing vendors for compliance with the privacy and data security policies and legal requirements
Review Company contracts to ensure data privacy standards are met
Evaluate vendor agreements and vendor privacy practices
Essential Skills, Characteristics, & Experience
5+ years’ experience in data privacy and/or IT compliance
Excellent writing skills
Independent work ethic
Ability to communicate and frame the message accordingly regardless of management level, including board members (e.g., interpersonal skills, approachability, effective listening skills, appropriate use of style and language for the audience)
Experience assessing and managing cyber risk
Thorough knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cyber-security and privacy, including CCPA, GDPR, state breach notification laws and PCI
Comprehensive knowledge of cyber-security and privacy principles
Ability to assess operational impacts of cyber-security controls
Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessment
