The COVID crisis has drastically slowed down projects during the first half of 2020, but there is great optimism that project demand will boom in the latter part of 2020. There may not be a huge growth in demand, but the requirements are a necessity for most industries. Biomedical Engineering, also referred to as BioMed or BME, is a multidisciplinary STEM field that combines biology and engineering. The goal is to combine engineering principles and materials with medicine and healthcare. This field is growing fast and is heavily supported by Venture Capital funding. Artificial organs, surgical robots, and advanced prosthetics are just a few examples of what comes out of this industry.
